Bitpanda Fusion: advanced crypto trading at prices aggregated from 12+ venues

Bitpanda Fusion is the advanced crypto trading platform of Bitpanda GmbH: it aggregates prices from 12+ venues (as of July 2026), charges 0.25% at Level 1 falling to 0.02% above EUR 250 million of 30-day volume, supports market, limit and stop orders, and fills every order with Bitpanda as your counterparty; active trading can increase losses when markets move against you.

Crypto-assets are highly volatile. You could sustain a loss of some or all of your investment, so it is important to invest only what you can afford to lose. Read the risk disclosure

What Bitpanda Fusion is, and what it is not

Fusion is an advanced trading platform, not an exchange.

On Fusion you trade with Bitpanda, not with other users. Bitpanda is your sole contractual counterparty and acts as principal: it sells to you when you buy and buys from you when you sell. Bitpanda states that it does not operate a multilateral trading system; the order book on screen is a real-time display of prices.

The ESMA interim MiCA register agrees. It lists Bitpanda GmbH for the exchange of crypto-assets and the execution of orders (services c, d and e), not for the operation of a trading platform (service b). Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 keeps that term for multilateral systems that bring together the buying and selling interests of multiple third parties.

For what this means for price and custody, see crypto broker vs exchange explained. The MiCA guide shows how to check which MiCA services a provider is authorised for.

How a Fusion order is priced and filled

Every Fusion order takes the same route: you send it to Bitpanda, Bitpanda prices it against quotes from several venues, and Bitpanda fills it.

  1. You place an order

Pick a pair, an order type and an amount, on the web or in the app. Orders can be placed, viewed and edited from the chart.

  2. Bitpanda collects price quotes

Fusion aggregates bid and ask prices from 12+ venues, as of July 2026. You do not choose a venue and you have no contract with one.

  3. Bitpanda fills the order

Bitpanda is the other side of your trade and acts as principal. The trade fee for your level is charged on the value of the order.

  4. The result is booked to your account

What you bought, or the proceeds of a sale, lands in the same Bitpanda account and balance you use for the broker.

Order types

Fusion supports four order types.

Market. Fills straight away at the aggregated price available at that moment. You set the amount, not the price.

Limit. Fills only at the price you set or a better one, so it may fill late or not at all.

Stop limit. Waits until the market reaches your stop price, then places a limit order at the limit you set.

Stop market. Waits until the market reaches your stop price, then places a market order, which can fill away from the stop.

What "best price" means

On Fusion, "best price" means the best aggregated price available across Bitpanda's liquidity sources at the time of your transaction. It is not a promise of the lowest price anywhere in the market.

The price can vary with market conditions, trading volume and platform-specific factors. For a large order, compare the quote with a second source first, and use a limit order when the price matters more to you than speed.

Fusion fee tiers

Fusion charges one fee per trade, set by your trading volume over the last 30 days. Your level is recalculated automatically on a rolling basis, so there is nothing to apply for.

Illustrative example

A EUR 1,000 order at Level 1 costs EUR 2.50 in Fusion fees (0.25% of EUR 1,000). The same order at Level 2 would cost EUR 2.10. The example shows the fee only: the price you pay for the asset moves with the market.

The fee schedule lists all Bitpanda fees, including Fusion tiers, with the limits and the method behind each figure.

What can still cost money

Third-party fees, currency conversion costs, taxes and government charges may still apply. Availability, processing times, limits, payment methods and eligibility may vary.

Fusion runs on your Bitpanda account: one account, one balance. See the deposit and withdrawal limits of a Bitpanda account and how Bitpanda handles custody and account security.

Markets and quote currencies

Fusion lists crypto pairs quoted in euros and, according to the live Fusion page, in Swiss francs (CHF) and pounds sterling (GBP).

The quote currency is the currency a pair is priced in. Bitpanda offers fiat wallets in EUR, USD, GBP, CHF and PLN, so a pair quoted in the currency you already hold spares you a conversion before you trade. A conversion made by your bank or a payment provider can carry its own cost.

Pairs are added and removed over time. Check inside Fusion that the pair you want is listed before you plan a trade around it.

Charts, API and MCP access

TradingView charts

TradingView charts are built into your Fusion account. Orders can be placed, viewed and edited directly on the chart, so analysis and execution stay in one place.

Fusion API

The Fusion API gives REST access for placing market, limit and stop orders from your own code: a script, a trading bot or a custom terminal.

Fusion MCP

Fusion MCP is a server for the Model Context Protocol. It lets an MCP-compatible AI client connect to your Fusion account to place orders and read your positions.

Automation does not move the responsibility

You remain responsible for every order sent through the API or an AI client. A bug in a script, a wrong parameter or a model that misreads an instruction can place orders you did not intend and cause losses.

Start with small amounts and review your order history regularly.

Fusion or the Bitpanda broker: which to use

Both run on the same account and balance. The Bitpanda broker for Europe is built for a quick buy at a quoted price; Fusion is for people who want to decide how an order is executed.

Risks of active trading

Bitpanda Fusion can lead to increased losses if market conditions change unexpectedly.

Order types. Understand how each order type works before you use it. In a fast market a stop market order can fill well away from your stop price, and a limit order may never fill.

Volatility. Crypto-assets are highly volatile, and you can lose some or all of the capital you put in. Trading more often does not reduce that risk, and fees add up with every trade.

No margin or leverage. Fusion does not offer margin or leverage trading. The live FAQ answers that question with "Not within Fusion yet".

Fusion FAQ

Is Bitpanda Fusion a crypto exchange?

No. Fusion is an advanced trading platform, not an exchange. Bitpanda GmbH is your sole contractual counterparty and fills every order itself, acting as principal, so your order is not matched with another client's order. Bitpanda states that it does not operate a multilateral trading system, and the ESMA register does not list the operation of a trading platform among its services.

What are the Bitpanda Fusion fees?

Fusion charges one trade fee that depends on your trading volume over the last 30 days: 0.25% at Level 1 (up to EUR 100,000), then 0.21%, 0.17%, 0.13%, 0.08% and 0.05%, down to 0.02% at Level 7 (EUR 250 million and above). Bitpanda charges no deposit or withdrawal fees on Fusion; third-party fees, currency conversion costs and taxes may still apply.

Who is my counterparty on Fusion?

Bitpanda GmbH is your counterparty on every Fusion trade. It acts as principal: when you buy, Bitpanda sells to you, and when you sell, Bitpanda buys from you. Prices are aggregated from 12+ venues as of July 2026, but you have no contract with those venues. Bitpanda GmbH is based in Vienna and entered in the commercial register under FN 569240 v.

Which order types does Fusion support?

Fusion supports four order types: market, limit, stop limit and stop market. You can place, view and edit orders directly from the TradingView chart in your Fusion account. Make sure you understand how each type behaves before you use it: a market order fills at the available price, while limit and stop orders wait for the price you set.

Can I use Fusion on my phone?

Yes. Fusion is fully available in the Bitpanda apps for iOS and Android, so there is no separate Fusion app to install. You sign in with your Bitpanda account and trade from the same balance as on the web. The app page shows how to get Fusion in the Bitpanda mobile app.

Does Fusion have an API?

Yes. The Fusion API offers REST access for market, limit and stop orders, so you can run your own scripts or connect a custom trading terminal. Fusion MCP also lets an MCP-compatible AI client place orders and read positions in your account. You stay responsible for every order sent this way, and errors in code or in a model's output can cause losses.

Verification, payments and account settings are covered under general account questions.
